2022 Fort George 3-Way IPA is a West Coast style IPA; Pre-orders now available

Fort George 2022 3-Way IPA

After weeks (months?) of teasing, Fort George Brewery has announced their highly anticipated 2022 edition of 3-Way IPA will be a clear and crisp West Coast style IPA rather than a hazy. “Nostalgia for the bygone days of a more see-through beer has won” posted Fort George in their latest newsletter. Doesn’t it always? The annual collaboration brew changes each year with two different participants and many months of Beta test batches to dial in the style, hops, and malts for the most current flavor profile.

This year’s 3-Way IPA was made as always at the Astoria, Oregon based Fort George Brewing with this years collaborators Ravenna Brewing of Seattle, Washington, and Alvarado Street Brewery on the California coast. The brewery teams decided this year to “Hearken back to days of yore - youthful summer afternoons spent sunbathing on rocky river shores. Or perhaps sheltering from the inevitable Northwest rain underneath a picnic canopy at the State Park, sadly clutching your towel and scraping the mud off your sandals. But content. Content and warmed to be sipping a crisp, delicious West Coast IPA from a 16 oz can.“

2022 3-Way IPA is an explosion of fruity juice flavors, with all the bright clarity of a West Coast IPA and a rich, smooth texture, it retains a perfect, creamy white head through all the sips.

Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Strata, Strata Goo (custom Full Spectrum Extract by Oast House Oils), Mosaic, Chinook, and Simcoe

Malt: Pilsner, 2-Row, Linc Cashup Wheat, Admiral “It’s the Chit” Malt

ABV: 7%

3-Way IPA doesn’t drop until June, but pre-orders for shipping in Oregon and Washington are now open.
