Hopworks Brewery releases 4 Winter Seasonals

Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA, Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery (formerly Hopworks Urban Brewery, aka HUB) is diving head first into winter seasonals with 4 new beer releases on draft and in cans.

Abominable Winter Ale is a Hopworks classic, one of its most popular beers of the year. A perfect blend of caramel malts and Simcoe, Cascade, Chinook and Centennial hops create a complex, spicy and citrusy winter ale. ABV 7.3%, 65 IBUs. Available in 12-ounce six-packs.

Barrel-aged Abominable Winter Ale has spent nine months resting in Kentucky bourbon barrels, lending a rich maltiness and notes of caramel, vanilla and spice to the seasonal favorite. The generous hopping mellows with time, leaving a subtle citrus note and a pleasant bitterness. Holds up to big holiday meals well. 10% ABV, 55 IBUs. Available in 16-ounce four-packs.

Grizzly Snacks Beary Sour is a playful, refreshing sour ale that goes great with skiing, sledding and snowboarding—and the cans are easy to spot in a snow drift! A beautiful red hue is drawn from loads of marionberries, blackberries and raspberries, but we don’t recommend sharing with bears, no matter how much they beg. 5.5% ABV, 5 IBUs. Available in 16-ounce four-packs.

Winter Ritual Cold IPA has all the best elements of a wintry evergreen forest in a single can. Aromas of pear and pine lead in to flavors of pine sap, lemon zest and hints of persimmon and gooseberry. Expect a nice, dry finish with a light, lingering bitterness. 6.7% ABV, 55 IBUs. Available in 16-ounce four-packs.

This is the first year that Hopworks’ full winter lineup will appear in the new can branding, with the new, updated characters.

All of Hopworks Brewery’s wintertime brews are available at the Hopworks Mothership, located at SE 29th & Powell Boulevard in Portland, and at the Vancouver Pub at SE 177th & Mill Plain Boulevard, as well as at fine establishments and retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
