Rogue Ales opening Southern Oregon location in former Schoolhaus Brewhaus

Rogue Ales & Spirits is returning to Southern Oregon with their first new location in the state since 2011. Many are unaware that the Newport, Oregon based brewery was actually founded in Ashland, Oregon in 1988, and closed in 1997 after the nearby creek that runs through the town flooded.

Rogue Ales Patio at the Schoolhouse is a temporary, possibly permanent, new taproom in Jacksonville, Oregon with a 6-month schedule opening June 1st and running through the end of the year. The location is beer garden-centric, in a historic setting in a former old schoolhouse that is now the Bigham Knoll campus. Some may recognized the location as the former home of German-style beer hall pub The Schoolhaus Brewhaus, which was a pandemic casualty. The Bigham Knoll campus is mostly a private events venue, with a library, music venue, ballroom, gardens, a kids playground, and even a mini-golf and disc-golf area, Rogue will occupy a small indoor bar section with a larger patio slightly tucked under the trees with an overall capacity of about 100 people.

"We are beyond excited to return to where Rogue started 36 years ago in Southern Oregon," said Rogue Ales & Spirits President Steven Garrett. "This Jacksonville location at Bigham Knoll is a celebration of our roots, innovation, and commitment to crafting exceptional experiences for our community."

Rogue Ales Patio at the Schoolhouse features:

• Exclusive Brews: Get ready to savor some of Rogue's most beloved beers and exclusive offerings that are only available at Rogue locations.

• Local Favorites: Full food menu provided by Black Barn Farm, along with local wines.

• Historic Charm: Enjoy your drinks in the picturesque ambiance of Jacksonville's Schoolhouse, blending history with modern craft innovation.
