Migration Brewing launches Ripped Non-Alcoholic beer line

Just in time for “Sober October”, Portland and Gresham, Oregon’s Migration Brewing is launching a new non-alcoholic beverage line called “Ripped” on October 1st.  This will be the craft brewery’s first entry into the rapidly growing craft NA category that has grown by 163% in dollar sales since 2019.   The first two brews are Ripped IPA and Ripped Hazy IPA that will be launching in 50+ stores in the Portland metro area.  The program was developed at Migration’s small batch innovation center “The Shop” over the past 12 months. The new products are a central piece of Migration’s regional distribution strategy and will become available throughout the company’s west coast footprint that includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Colorado.

“The Ripped non-alcoholic line is a celebration of everything that our company stands for; bringing together the culmination of 15 years of brewing experience, commitment to quality, and a passion for great craft products” says Mike Branes, Co-Founder and Brew Master. “We’ve really enjoyed taking on the challenge of creating a great tasting non-alcoholic craft beer that reflects our company’s commitment to innovation and staying in tune with the future of our industry,” states Branes.

Ripped IPA is absolutely thirst quenching with a lean grain bill that pushes the Mosaic and Azacca Cryo hops to the forefront with plentiful and punchy aromatics.  The flavor profile exudes bright notes of tangerine, citrus and grapefruit coupled with a firm finish.  The Ripped Hazy IPA is a smooth drinking hazy loaded with Citra and Mosaic hops that drive big juicy, tropical flavors. Full flavored mouthfeel with punchy aromatics quickly give way to an easy round finish.

The Migration team has created a custom brewing technique to produce the next generation of non-alcoholic craft products. Utilizing arrested fermentation techniques combined with high brew temperatures and a short mash time they utilize a specially developed process that stays true to craft while keeping alcohol content below 0.5% ABV.  “This has been an exciting adventure of challenging everything we know about making beer. Based on the extensive sensory analysis we’ve done, we’re feeling good that our customers are going to really enjoy these fun new brews,“ says Branes.
