PDX Beer Week, Gigantic Brewing Company & Loyal Legion Present SNACKDOWN VI: SNACKING NEVER DIES! Celebrate Father's Day with a Spectacular Food and Beer Pairing Event on June 16th

The Portland Beer Week and Gigantic Brewing Company event SNACKDOWN is back on Father’s Day, June 16th, for another afternoon of elevated but playful beer and food pairings. Snackdown VI: Snacking Never Dies! is a tag team competitive small plates and beer event with a retro WWE wrestling theme, teaming breweries, chefs and restaurants to make the best pairing.

SNACKDOWN! brings together 16 breweries and chefs to make up 8 dynamic Brewer/chef teams. Each team will craft their ultimate snack and beer pairing, vying for the coveted SNACKDOWN Belt. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample all the pairings and vote for their favorite, adding an interactive element to this one-of-a-kind event.

Unlike your typical beer dinner, SNACKDOWN! promises a more relaxed and playful atmosphere, reminiscent of a WWF-style Smackdown. Brewers and chefs will take the stage to hype their pairings, possibly donning wrestling-themed costumes such as luchador masks, spandex, capes, and tassels. DJ Big Tim Slade will be spinning tracks to keep the energy high throughout the evening.

Tickets for the event are priced at $49, which includes all 8 small plates and 8 x 5oz beer pours. Guests are encouraged to embrace the wrestling theme and dress up in the most outrageous outfits imaginable. To enhance the festive mood, there will be old WWF wrestling footage projected throughout the venue.

All proceeds after expenses from SNACKDOWN will benefit P:ear, a local charity dedicated to building positive relationships with homelessyouth through education, art, recreation, and job training. P:ear's mission is to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives for young people in the community.
