Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery Dinner at Tusk

Middle Eastern-inspired and heavily farm fresh vegetable based Portland restaurant Tusk is hosting Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery for a beer dinner on Wednesday, July 11th.  Food & Wine Magazine named Tusk their restaurant of the year in 2017 and Tusk's recent beer dinner with pFriem sold-out, so we recommend picking up your tickets for this one soonish.More from a press release:

Tusk’s ever-changing daily menus take shape around the vegetables, fruit, grains and proteins grown and raised for the restaurant by local farms. The restaurant takes this ethos to the glass in a collaboration dinner with Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery on Wednesday, July 11th. Wolves & People brews farmhouse ale and a variety of fresh and barrel-aged beers in an 100 year-old barn on a family hazelnut farm in the Willamette Valley. The beers are inspired by those historically brewed for farmers with farm-grown ingredients, and incorporate ingredients from on-site, as well as fruit, herbs and hops from nearby farms. Tusk’s Executive Chef/Partner Sam Smith and Chef de Cuisine Wesley Johnson will prepare a vibrant, family-style menu around midsummer’s produce bounty to pair with Founder/Brewer Christian DeBenedetti’s selection of five Wolves & People beers poured that evening.

Where: Tusk, 2448 E Burnside, Portland, Oregon

About Tusk

Tusk's vegetable-driven, Middle Eastern-inspired menu is the creation of Submarine Hospitality Founders Joshua McFadden and Luke Dirks with Executive Chef/Partner Sam Smith.  Smith's time spent as opening sous chef at Philadelphia's acclaimed Israeli restaurant Zahav, followed by his years as Chef de Cuisine at Ava Gene's informs the ever-changing seasonal menus. All vegetables and most flours and grains are sourced directly from local farms Smith has built close relationships with over the years, and the dishes are meant to be shared in a convivial dining atmosphere. All flatbreads are baked in-house. The dessert program, helmed by pastry wiz Nora Antene, along with the cocktail menu by Bar Manager Tony Contreras, are equally as seasonal. Tusk was named a FOOD & WINE Restaurant of the Year 2017, to Bon Appétit’s 50 Best New Restaurants (2017), and has received praise from The New York Times, PUNCH, Portland Monthly, The Oregonian and others. Tusk is located at 2448 E. Burnside, Portland, Oregon, and open for dinner 7 nights a week, and brunch as well as a weekend happy hour on Saturdays and Sundays.
