Redhook Continuous Revelation Coffee IPA nods to Breweries Seattle Heritage

Seattle-based Redhook Brewery is releasing a single-hop and single-origin coffee bean blended into their new Continuous Revelation Coffee IPA. An ode to Seattle and the breweries history being founded by Starbucks co-founder and first putting themselves on the map with a coffee stout. Redhook Brewlab Head Brewer and Washington Native Nick Crandall’s passion for both coffee and beer led to the creation of his latest limited release brew, Continuous Revelation IPA.More from a press release:“Seattle is built on coffee in the morning and beer in the evening, thus the name Continuous Revelation – and we wanted to play with that a little as we began thinking about a late-year limited release beer,” said Crandall. “We decided to go with a coffee IPA, and using Amarillo hops paired with some nuanced single-origin beans to make an IPA that matched the coffee’s sweet and bitter notes.”The Guatemalan single-origin coffee bean bursts with chocolate and lemon aromas and its soft spice notes are complimented nicely by Crandall’s use of citrusy Amarillo hops. At 6.5 percent alcohol by volume, it’s the perfect beer for both coffee and hoppy beer fans.Continuous Revelation Coffee IPA’s unique package design comes from Seattle artist Pam Wishbow, and highlights the distinct ingredients of the brew. Wishbow’s iconic style has been seen in various local and national publications, and she’s very active in the Seattle arts scene, having worked with Sub Pop, Verity Credit Union and Sounders FC along with Redhook.Continuous Revelation is a limited-release beer that will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles from September through December of 2018, and will be available on draft at Seattle-area pubs and taprooms. To celebrate the release, Redhook is throwing a launch party at Brewlab in Capitol Hill on Wednesday, October 24 at 5pm. Continuous Revelation will be flowing on draft and in bottles throughout the day. Wishbow will be on hand for a fun “paint-by numbers” event at Brewlab. Redhook will also offer happy hour pricing during open hours on the 12th.For additional information on Redhook Brewery, visit redhook.com and follow the brewery on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter. While the term didn’t exist at the time, Redhook became one of America’s first craft breweries with its focus on creating a better beer. From a modest start in a former transmission shop in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard, to a Fremont trolley barn that housed The Trolleyman brewpub, to its current brewery in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Wash., Redhook has become one of America’s most recognized craft breweries. Redhook’s beer lineup includes ESB, Long Hammer IPA, Big Ballard Imperial IPA, Bicoastal IPA and a variety of seasonal and limited release beers, including My Oh My Caramel Macchiato Milk Stout, Tangelic Halo Tangerine IPA, Winterhook, and more. Redhook beers are available on draught and in bottles and cans around the country. Redhook Brewery, Est. Seattle, WA 1981
