12 Bridge Ciderworks releases St. Johns Imperial - The Hibster
With Oregon Cider Week 2019 kicking off this Thursday, 12 Bridge Ciderworks in Oregon City, OR is releasing their first ever imperial cider - St. Johns Imperial - The Hibster. Made from fresh-pressed northwest-grown apples outof the Hood River Valley with special ingredients Egyptian hibiscus and wildflower honey, The Hibster is an 11% semi-dry hard cider.
More from a press release:
The Hibster is the 15th cider released from 12 Bridge Ciderworks, since its opening in June of 2017. St Johns Imperial is a draft-only cider available in just 1/6 barrels for now, though bottles may be coming soon.
Most of 12 Bridge Ciderworks ciders are named after the twelve bridges that cross the Willamette River in the Portland area. Sometimes they do not use a bridge name, which leaves fans questioning why. "All our ciders that we intend to make available year-round or throughout the year, we name after bridges. For our seasonal ciders and one-off specialty ciders, we get a little more creative and fun and come up with a non-bridge name" writes the company in a press release.
