Pale Ale Tasting and Discussion at Montavilla Brew Works

Michael Kora often mans the tasting room as well as the brew kettle at Montavilla Brew Works.

Southeast Portland neighborhood brewery Montavilla Brew Works is hosting a discussion and tasting of Pale Ales next Thursday, June 27th with a flight of 4 pale ales available for $8 from 3-9pm and a brewer discussion at 6pm.

Taste all four (4oz each) of Montavilla Brew Works dry hopped Pale Ales and vote for your favorite:

"Lesh Is More!" (Amarillo, El Dorado, Chinook)
"Zythos for Lesh" (Amarillo, El Dorado, Zythos)
"Don't CRYO'ver Simcoe" (Chinook, Cryo Simcoe)
"Secret One-Hitter" (Chinook, Australian Vic Secret)

Brewer/Owner Michael Kora and assistant brewer Alex Graham will give a talk at 6pm on how Pale Ale is brewed, and how each hop affects the flavor and aroma of each beer. A tour of the MBW brewhouse will follow the discussion.
