Local brewing pioneers Widmer Brothers Brewing have announced the formation of 'Brothers' Table,' a new program to support non-profits and other charities. By donating their vast resources built carefully over 35 years, Widmer Brewing will be donating both draft beer and event space for fundraisers that enhance and benefit the local community. The Brothers' Table project offers a great opportunity to use the now shuttered Widmer brothers pub/tasting room

More from a press release:

'For more than 35 years, brothers Kurt and Rob Widmer have been committed to giving back to the community that supported them as one of Portland’s pioneering craft breweries. Building on that commitment, Widmer Brothers Brewing today announces the launch of Brothers’ Table, a new program that supports local non-profits by donating event space and specialty draft beers for fundraisers that benefit and enhance the local community.

“We believe there’s no better way to connect passionate people and positive organizations than by drinking great beer together,” said Widmer Brothers Marketing Manager Kevin Bland. “Over the years, Widmer Brothers has partnered with hundreds of non-profits in Oregon and helped raise money and awareness for local causes. We are excited to continue that tradition and donate the great space and our beers to the many worthy causes of this city.”

The Brothers’ Table Community Space is located at 955 N. Russell Street, Portland, OR 97227.  Interested non-profits can inquire about using the space for their event by submitting a request at https://www.widmerbrothers.com/pub/brothers-table.

Widmer Brothers will provide one employee onsite during events to pour a variety of Widmer Brothers beers, from longtime favorites like the Original American Hefeweizen and Drop Top Amber Ale to new beers like Juicy Sunrise IPA and Dreifecta German-Style Pilsner. Non-profits may provide their own caterers and servers during events.

About Widmer Brothers Brewing
Widmer Brothers Brewing helped create the Pacific Northwest craft beer movement in 1984 when founders Kurt and Rob Widmer, then in their 20s, began brewing unique interpretations of traditional German beer styles. In 1986, Widmer Brothers Brewing introduced the original American-style Hefeweizen, which elevated the brewery to national acclaim. Since then, the brewery’s iconic Hefe has grown to become Oregon’s favorite craft beer. For more than three decades, Widmer Brothers has continued to push the boundaries of craft beer. Based in Portland, Oregon, the brewery currently brews a variety of beers including nine-time GABF medal-winner Hefe, and a full seasonal lineup. Additionally, the brewery continues to make a series of limited edition, small-batch beers available throughout the Pacific Northwest.
