Double Mountain releases Barley Brown's collaboration 'Coyote Sunset IPA'

Hood River, OR's Double Mountain Brewery has collaborated with Baker City, OR's Barley Brown's Brewing on Coyote Sunset IPA. This West Coast-style IPA is both Double Mountain's latest new seasonal release in bottles and on-draft and can also be found at the Oregon Brewers Festival this week.

More from a press release:

Like the recent Simcoe - A - GoGo, this beer is double dry hopped, with extra frogginess in the middle(see Key and Peele). The result is a fresh, green enclave of ripe citrus and tropic fruit, with a hint of kind herb.

Collaborating with Barley Brown’s is a no brainer melding of beer centric minds, and Double Mountain is honored to conceptualize and brew a beer with our friends. Coyote Sunset is available in refillable 500ML bottles and on draft at our Hood River Taproom, SE Portland Taproom in the Woodstock neighborhood, Barley Brown’s, and throughout the Northwest.

Coyote Sunset 6.7% ABV 45 BU
The color of this West Coast IPA reflects the gaze of a coyote staring at you as the sun sets on the high desert of Oregon. He’s surprised to see you and, like you, thirsty. Teaming with juicy ripe fruit and a hope of rain, this beer is quenching, with a bite of kind herb and citrus rind.

“Our beer contains no animal products ever because well, its beer, color is like the reflection from a coyote staring back from the sun a sunrise, he’s been up too late and is surprised to see you, the bitterness is like what you feel when your kid drinks the last drop of milk and you just poured your cereal into the bowl, and well….. you were up too late too”. - Matt Swihart & Tyler Brown, Owners and Brewmasters.
