Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest Expands to Two Weeks

One of the first fresh hop celebrations of the year is expanding to two weeks. Portland's Fresh Hop Pop-Up Beer Fest will now last ten days, Wednesday - Sunday the weeks of September 12-16th and 19-23rd, 2018. This event is an outdoor, tented beer garden with ten rotating taps of the freshest freshies of the season with no cover charge or admission. The taps change pretty much daily, with special themed days and featured brewery tappings like and pFriem Nights, Bend Beer Night, Gorge Night, Washington Night, and much more.The partially-covered fresh hop pop-up beer garden has an outdoor fire pit, music, tent, and Oktoberfest-style food specials like brats, pretzels, potato salad, and a smoked pork sandwich.In order to best showcase the green, oily, lupulin-filled fresh hop beers that are only made once a season and unique to the Pacific Northwest, the Fresh Hop Pop-Up takes place early as the beers are first being released. Fresh hop beers are best served fresh like their namesake and that makes the Fresh Hop Pop-Up the best place to try them.
