Stoup Brewing releases new Cans in Fresh Packaging Redesign

Seattle/Ballard’s Stoup Brewing was one of thousands of breweries across the country that scrambled to get their beer into cans in March when the COVID-19 shutdowns began. Because of the urgency of the situation with draft sales drying up, Stoup Brewing had to rush into packaging. It was not until recently that they had the time to catch their breath, and redesign their packaging with the same thoughtfulness that they approach their beers with.

“We had to scramble,” Co-Owners Brad Benson, Robyn Schumacher and Lara Zahaba concurred. And so Stoup Brewing pivoted quickly and started releasing all beers under a simple, in house Hello My Name Is label. And while Desperate Times Do Call for Emergency beer (as taglined on the hello-my-name-is labels) Zahaba, who wears the design hat at the brewery notes that, “We are excited and ready to share these new cans because they look and feel like Stoup and are sure to resonate with anyone that has spent time in our tap room.”

It should come as no surprise that the first beer to be released in the new package design will be Stoup’s flagship Citra IPA. Look for Citra to be closely followed by Pistol Fingers IPA and then Mosaic Pale Ale and German Pilsner.

All three owners would like to express their gratitude to Sean Sfigaloa of KRFTWRK for the beautiful label design and to Seattle beer lovers for all of the support through these crazy times.
