Away Days Brewing releases Sticky Toffee Stout

Neo British-style southeast Portland brewery Away Days Brewing has turned one of their favorite holiday desserts into their winter seasonal beer release. Sticky Toffee Stout is a brand new, rich, winter stout inspired by the pudding formerly served at Away Days now closed sister pub Toffee Club.

In stark contrast to their typically balanced ales and lagers, Sticky Toffee Stout is heavy handed with loads of brewer Marshall Kunz’ favorite British caramel malts, and gobs of oats, chocolate and dark fruit. The tanks were filled with bags upon bags of Medjool dates and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans to take this stout up to eleven. Massive dark fruit and dessert wine-like notes melt into syrupy chocolate, topped with a dollop of sweet cream vanilla decadence.

Away Days has also paired up with Moonstruck Chocolate to gift a free bar of Milk Chocolate Salted Toffee with every November Beer Club delivery. And there are still spaces left in their monthly Beer Club. You can sign up here to get in on the action.

Four-packs of our Sticky Toffee Stout can be pre-ordered for collection from the brewery here. (Pickup from Tuesday 24th November)

And while you are at it check out the Sticky Toffee jersey’s and other Away Days merchandise available at their online gift store. These jerseys were originally designed for Toffee Club footy teams and were the inspiration behind the Sticky Toffee Stout can design.
