Fort George Brewery releases Matryoshka 2021

Fort George Brewery will release Matryoshka bourbon barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout in it’s 2021 vintage this Saturday, December 12th. This vintage is aged for one year in a blend of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Westward Whiskey barrels and is one of the most anticipated annual releases each year from the Astoria, OR based brewery.

Matryoshka 2021 is a tight walking attempt in balancing the intense bold flavors of vanilla, anise, chocolate, coffee and charred oak evenly. The high gravity and robust mouthfeel give the beer heft and substance, while remaining smooth and deceivingly drinkable.

Fort George Stout Month will continue in February 2021 with multiple variants of Matryoshka, but get the original balanced base barrel-aged RIS by picking up at the pub or order delivery right to your door.
