Brothers Cascadia Collabruary is a celebration of collaboration

One of the best parts of being involved in the beer industry is collaboration. From the earliest-known collaboration between Avery Brewing and Russian River Brewing to settle a trademark dispute in 2004, collabs have blossomed into an exciting avenue to promote a brand, experiment with new recipes, learn from other brewers and share in the camaraderie and community of beer.

Brothers Cascadia Brewing company takes those ideas to a whole new level with their 2-month celebration of collaboration - Collabuary. The punk-rawk-show themed event kicked off on January 15th with the release of Electric Funeral, a 10.3% ABV Winter Ale collaboration with one of their nearest neighbors, Doomsday Brewing. The collaborators are coming from all over the PNW, from Sig Brewing and Stemma Brewing up north, to Oregon neighbors like Breakside Brewing and Hammer & Stitch.

The releases continue today with collabs from Baerlic Brewing and Everybody's Brewing.

This collaborative nature doesn't stop at beer. Brothers Cascadia has asked local design agency Ambient to spearhead a collaboration of artists for the label designs as well. Artwork is coming from independent designers like Jenna Hill, Matthew Fields (former brewer at Brothers Cascadia), Matt Lloyd and Michael Lindberg (creating under the alias Dusty Brockaway) as well as design agencies like Riff Creative, Ambient and ZZeppelin.

Check out the "set list" and head to Brothers Cascadia Brewing in the Hazel Dell neighborhood of Vancouver, WA to experience all of the flavors, styles and designs that come together during Collabuary! You're bound to find a number of musical culture references...
