Hoppin Frog’ crosses the road to Oregon

Akron, Ohio’s acclaimed Hoppin’ Frog Brewery has hopped halfway across the country to make it into Oregon for the first time this week. Hoppin’ Frog is one of those increasingly rare brewery’s that has been able to maintain a consistently large fan base and hype in beer geek circles at the same time. They have now been rated one of the Top 100 brewers in the world by RateBeer.com for 14 years running and are one of the elite few brewery’s featured on Tavour.

Established in 2006, the brewery has become known for quality bold and big flavor beers before massive Imperial Stouts, pastry beers, and sours were even a thing. Hoppin' Frog is the concept of owner and established brewmaster Fred Karm, a brewer since 1994 who has designed and produced 23 award winning beers at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup - the two most prestigious contests in the world.  

Hoppin’ Frog distributes in 22 states and 38 foreign countries but had never been available in Oregon.  Portland, Oregon’s Point Blank Distributing is bringing their beers in now for a limited time drop that they hope will become permanent if the beers are well received.

Peanut Butter Hazelnut Caramel Chocolate Cake Stout (available in cans and draft)
