With SARS-Cov-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19, rocket surgeons) being kicked to the curb by at least three different vaccines, and the promise of more vaccines on the way, Oregon brewery taprooms have joined together to announce they will be hosting mass vaccination sites (with proper social distancing in place, of course). The mass vaccinations will kick in starting on the first day of April, with large airy taprooms and outdoor patios setting up to host the expected crowds of people who think getting jabbed in the arm is a fine way to spend the day. Beer will not be served at any vaccination venue.

Wayfinder Brewing will set up vaccination tables on its deck in advance of opening to the public on Friday, April 2nd. Widmer Brothers has a lot of cobwebs to clear out, but hopes to have the former on-premises taproom open in time. Little Beast will have no problem setting up vaccination stations under its big outdoor tents, but still wants everyone to stay the hell out of the bar area. Ruse Brewing will host mass vaccinations in the big lobby just outside of the taproom proper, keeping the loading dock garage doors open for plenty of ventilation. Breakside will set up for jabss at its Milwaukie and Slabtown taprooms, but adds "Dekum just doesn't seem right for this, so just go there for a beer." Zoiglhaus will set up vaccination table in its parking lot, but notes that the MAX station is close by too, and according to the house management, "why Tri-Met isn't setting up vaccination tables in the MAX trains seems crazy. Why not? It's a great idea."

Occidental Brewing doesn't expect anyone to make the journey up to its taproom in Saint Johns. Just buy a beer there. And really, that's probably the best thing anyone can do at any of the area's taprooms and bars. It's not like vaccines grow on trees... or get injected at brewery taprooms.
