Best of Hands Barrelhouse releases 3 new beers in cans
Seattle, Washington’s newish west side brewery Best of Hands Barrelhouse unveils three new beers in cans this Wednesday, April 7th with limited draft at the taproom. Though Best of Hands focus has been on farmhouse and sour ales since opening in March of 2019, two of the new beers are clean hop showcases while the third is a barrel-aged mixed culture fruited sour.
Electric Nothing, NEIPA - 6.5% - Hazy IPA with flaked oats and flaked rye. Idaho 7 and Sorachi Ace hops lend notes of tropical fruit, satsuma oranges, woody notes of cedar and an herbal-dill earthiness.
Luxury Standard, IPA - 7% - Vic Secret heavy IPA featuring aromas of pineapple juice with underlying hints of perfume. Tropical fruit notes meld with some herbal spiciness on the palate. Complex finish with notes of citrus pith, hints of currants, and sticky resin.
Strange Invitation, Oak Aged Sour // Second Use Plums - 6% - A blend of 20 month Cabernet Sauvignon BBL aged sour ale, which underwent refermentation on 118lbs of second use wild Italian plums, and new American oak aged foeder beer. Oak, pineapple, earthy funk and plum on the nose. A melange of bright fruit flavors enveloped in oak and a hint of vanilla and some minerality dissolves into vinous notes and subtle plum. Dry, acidic, & complex finish of oak tannins, grape skins, and plum noyaux.
These will all be available at the brewery starting Wednesday April 7th, with limited draft as well (no to-go on the draft, only the packaged cans will be available to-go). Best of Hands Barrelhouse is at 7500 35th Ave SW Seattle WA 98126.
