Portland, OR’s Migration Brewing is releasing Hop Fire Volume 1 in 16oz cans and 4-packs this Thursday, June 10th, at all four of their pubs. Hop Fire is a limited-release Hazy IPA that was first created at the now refurbished and back in action 7bbl brewhouse in Migration’s original NE Glisan location. Already a hit on draft, Hop Fire has been remade for a limited time in cans to-go.

More from a press release:

“A lot of hard work and planning went into making Hop Fire Volume 1 the success that it is,” said  Mike Branes, Migration Brewing Co-Founder and Head Brewer. “ We are so excited to get it into  cans, and let all our hop loving customers take it home in cans sold exclusively at our pubs.”

Hop Fire Volume 1 is a Hazy IPA that builds off Migration’s award winning core IPA’s while

introducing new cold pool and hop addition techniques. The subtle malt allows for overwhelming  hop aromatics to waft off the glass. Notes of passionfruit, pineapple and guava intermingle with  hints of peach skin and sun-ripened tangelo zest. The mouthfeel is full and silky by the addition  of flaked and malted oats in conjunction with wheat.

This bold, 6.8% ABV, IPA utilized 6 pounds per barrel of some of the world’s most sought after  hops including: New Zealand Cascades and Sabro hops, giving it a unique flavor profile. While  brewed at lower temperatures, these hops retain their one-of-a-kind flavors and removes the  bitterness that can sometimes be present in hoppy IPAs.

Hop Fire is Volume 1 is just one of a planned series of big, bold, and unique brews with different  colors, big aromatics, and explosive flavor profiles. Migration has sourced some of the most  sought after grain in the Northwest, and they are leveraging all of their supplier relationships to  get access to new, experimental hops.
