Loyal Legion, Ruse, and Montavilla Brew Works celebrate Anniversaries
This weekend a trifecta of Portland beer institutions are celebrating their anniversaries with special events, music, collaborations, beer releases and more. The youngest of the three, Ruse Brewing will celebrate their 3rd anniversary on Saturday, July 17th, and both Loyal Legion beer hall and Montavilla Brew Works are turning 6 years old.
Ruse Brewing 3rd Anniversary

To celebrate their 3rd anniversary Ruse Brewing has new beers, live music in their new beer garden, and DJ Pablo Ricardo spinning beats in the taproom starting at 1pm.
New beers include Poetic Disco, a Valencia orange smoothie IPA with gooseberry and passion fruit and dank oily hops 7.2% and a SteepleJack Brewing collaboration beer called Ace of Cups, which is a Summer Pale Ale double dry hopped with Cascade, Motueka and Citra. 5.5% ABV.
At the Ruse / 503 Distilling Beer Garden there will be two bands playing afternoon through the evening.
Peter LeClair Band kicks things off from 3-5pm with a great mix Americana and indie rock.This Multi-instrumentalist treads the line between pop and folk songwriting. Using heartfelt lyricism and catchy melodic sounds, Peter creates a familiar yet new and eclectic experience for all. More info at http://www.peterleclairmusic.com/.

Loyal Legion 6th Anniversary Party

One of Portland’s favorite beer bars has been celebrating their 6th since this past Thursday, but the celebrations continue through Sunday with different breweries, cocktails and collaboration beers featured each day. Each day starting with Thursday will have a different brewery showcase with specials and giveaways and finally the return of all 100 taps.
Thursday started with Grains of Wrath and Ecliptic Brewing showcase, followed by a pFriem showcase on Friday, and a Gigantic Brewing showcase on Saturday, and capping with Baerlic Brewing this Sunday. Plus, they will be pouring limited release sours from Breakside Brewery that were made for Loyal Legion’s 3rd and 4th anniversary. Plus cocktail/drink and food specials and giveaways galore.

Ecliptic Brewing / Loyal Legion: Intergalactic Sourberry
a super limited, draft-only beer to celebrate Loyal Legion sixth anniversary. This stellar sour has an overload of real blueberries and is lightly hopped with Cascade and Amarillo.
Grains of Wrath / Loyal Legion: Legion of Haze
A 7.3% ABV Hazy IPA with aromas and flavors of overripe stonefruit, dank pine, and pineapple.
Montavilla Brew Works 6th Anniversary

Neighborhood stalwart Montavilla Brew Works is keeping it lowkey for their 6th anniversary with a weekend of grilling, beer specials and an anniversary beer release.
The anniversary beer Super Dominant is a juice bomb West coast IPA. Clean and clear with 100% Pilsner malt, Eukanot, Galaxy and Strata hops. Relaxed carbonation and moderate bitterness allow the massive fruit, juice and dank notes to shine. On draft and in cans now 7.2% ABV
Brewer's bratwurst will be available for purchase Fri-Sat (7/16-17) from 4-8pm (or until out). Canned beer specials all weekend long
