Public Coast Brewing Farm is now Open on the Oregon Coast

Cannon Beach, Oregon’s Public Coast Brewing has opened the Public Coast Farm in Banks, OR for farm fresh fruits, local preserves, u-pick berries, and of course their own craft beers. This Saturday the farm will kick off the fact that they are now open to the public with an event based around their signature fruit - Blueberries.

The inaugural Blueberry Festival will feature a 5K run with the Oregon Brewery Running Series group, live music, fresh fruit, lots and lots of blueberries, and food from Public Coast Brewing’s chef turned brewer Will Leroux.

Public Coast Farm is a 40-acre culinary farm nestled at the base of the Coastal Range along the iconic Sunset Highway, Oregon Hwy. 26 and 30 minutes from downtown Portland. Lush with 15 acres of blueberry bushes, fruit orchards, beehives and hops, the farm is a culinary playground that celebrates alchemy: the transformation of simple, beautiful, locally produced ingredients into culinary magic.

Blueberries have been a signature ingredient for Public Coast Brewing ever since they established the farm, the fresh berries are featured in everything from their recent Blueberry Stout, and housemade Jam preserves, to a Blueberry Seltzer. But that’s not all they feature at the farm. Currently for the season you can purchase multiple varieties of Heirloom tomatoes, basil, microgreens, peppers, honey, jam, and of course their own cold beer by the can. In fact you can grab a whole can of beer and drink it on-site while picking fresh berries.

Public Coast Brewing: Located just 70 miles west of Portland in Cannon Beach, Ore., Public Coast Brewing is named after one of the only true public coastlines in America - the 363-mile Oregon coast. The brewery features a 10bbl brewhouse with two 20-barrel fermenters and four 10-barrel fermenters. The brewery has won numerous awards, including a gold for its '67 Blonde Ale at the World Beer Cup and Oregon Beer Awards.

The Public Coast Blueberry Festival will feature family fun, blueberries galore, live music and grub from Public Coast chef turned brewer Will Leroux, with live music from Cannon Beach bluegrass band the Floating Glass Balls starting at noon.

There will also be a 5K family fun run/walk at 11 a.m. In addition to course access, fun run/walk participants will receive a free ice cool Public Coast beer.
