Migration and Westward Whiskey Single Malt Heritage Barrel Whiskey release
Migration Brewing and Westward Whiskey’s years-long ongoing collaboration has come to fruition with the release of Westward American Single Malt Migration Heritage Barrel whiskey. Both Portland, OR based brands have participated in an ongoing barrel exchange program that saw Migration beers aged in Westward’s spirit barrels, and then the distillery taking those same barrels that held beer back to age this special whiskey. This Sunday, September 26th the partners will be at Migration Rooftop at the Canvas for a Heritage Barrel Release Event, sign up for the exclusive Westward club here to purchase the bottle and get into the event.
“This is always one of our favorite collaborations. To work with one of the region’s premier Whiskey producers is always fun and inspiring,” said Mike Branes, Co-Founder and Head Brewer at Migration Brewing. “Every year is different. It’s always exciting to see how the products change over time as the barrel evolves with each batch of whiskey and beer,” notes Branes.
The Westward American Single Malt Migration Heritage Barrel represents one of the originally laid down barrels of American Single Malt from the partnership. Aged in Westward’s prized ‘Heritage Barrel,’ this particular cask journeyed back and forth with Migration Brewing four times, and has previously been filled with Frankie Imperial Stout as well as a rich, barrel-aged Porter. Exclusive to Westward Whiskey Club members, this limited release is sure to sell out quickly.
