Seattle’s Old Stove Brewing unveils Ship Canal Tap Room, Beer Garden and Production Brewery

Old Stove Brewing, is a popular attraction in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, offering a respite from shopping and a place to relax with a craft beer and a bite with a view of the bay. Since the pandemic they began canning their beers and reaching a whole new fanbase, and by 2022 they now plan to open the “Old Stove Brewing Ship Canal”, a 24,000-square-foot production brewery Taproom and beer garden with space for live music at 600 W.  Nickerson St. in an emerging maritime district. This Friday, Sept. 17, a benefit concert for SMASH called “Above Board,” will be held at the Old Stove Brewing Ship Canal site and co-presented by the Tractor Tavern.

“The initial concept for Old Stove was centered on bringing people together and building community,” said  Chris Moore, co-founder of Old Stove Brewing. “With this expansion, we’re excited to introduce a welcoming space  in the city for locals and visitors to come together around craft beer in addition to Old Stove’s existing taproom at  Pike Place Market.”

To celebrate Old Stove Brewing Ship Canal’s impending expansion, Old Stove is hosting a fundraiser for  Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare (SMASH) on Friday, Sept. 17, from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. The event  will take place at 600 W. Nickerson St in Seattle and will include a live performance from Petty Party, a cover band  based in Seattle. Special guests Charity & Matty will be the first to perform in the courtyard. The public is invited to  attend. Tickets and more information are available at the Tractor online

“This event unites two of our passions—craft beer and live music—around a common cause,” said Moore.  “This first concert at the Ship Canal site highlights our intentions for this space and our goal to become a significant  contributor to the Seattle music scene.”

Old Stove Brewing is proud to share that it will install Fremont Brewing’s original thirty-barrel brewhouse at  the new Ship Canal production facility. Once the production brewery is operational, Old Stove expects to  increase its production and retail sales in Seattle. In addition, all brewing, taproom and beer garden operations will  create 60 new jobs at the new Ship Canal location with additional growth over time.
