Ruse Brewing x Grasslands Barbecue

Friday - Sunday October 28-30th

Grasslands Barbecue out of Hood River, Oregon is back in Portland for their 2nd annual Halloween pop-up at Ruse Brewing all this weekend Friday - Sunday. Not only will their be world-class bbq and beer, but a full schedule of live music on Saturdayand a brand new Ruse Brewing + Grasslands collaboration beer called Lost Embers on draft and in limited 16oz cans.

Lost Embers is a variation on last years collaboration with Grasslands Barbecue. This year they hybridized a dark lager with a West coast IPA. It’s kind of a trip when you look at this beer before tasting it. The dark brown, almost black appearance makes you expect something big, roasty and sweet. But since we mash stained the beer with Midnight wheat for color it’s quite dry and just a tiny bit on the roasty side. The DDH of Citra and Nelson plays super well with the dry ester profile of the lager yeast.

Friday 10/28-3pm: Grasslands limited menu and Lost Embers beer release

Saturday 10/29 1pm until sellout: Grasslands full menu, The Record Pub selling vinyl in Ruse lobby 1-6pm, Live Music: Moongate 1-2:30pm, Steve Miller Lite 3-4:15

Sunday 10/30 1pm until sellout: Grasslands full menu
