Gigantic Brewing goes BIG for 10th Anniversary
It’s been a decade of Gigantic Brewing and the Portland, OR based company is gearing up for a GIGANTIC year that includes their first brewpub with a kitchen and their 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday, May 7th.
The Gigantic Brewing name was always meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek since it was started small and remains so now even with the recent opening of the Gigantic Robot Room satellite bar. Since they started brewing back in May 2012, they have set the goal to stay stubbornly small, and couldn’t have done it without their fans.
Join Gigantic for a Saturday anniversary celebration filled with incredible beers, music, food and fun. There will be DJs spinning records all day including DJ Erock, The Country Co-op, and special DJ appearances by BJ & Wu-G (Ben & Van). DJ Rev Shines will headline the 8-10pm slot, so have your dancing shoes on!
Gigantic will be tapping rare beers from the cellar all day and releasing two very rare 10th anniversary versions of MASSIVE!. These are unique single barrel versions of the barley wine, one aged in Willett bourbon barrels and the other in W.L. Weller bourbon barrels. Brewers set them aside to age even longer than the normal MASSIVE! releases and promise the extra time was well worth the wait by adding a depth and nuance of flavor above and beyond the regular version.

As a preview of the upcoming Gigantic Brewing Hawthorne location, which is slated to open in late summer, Gigantic will be cooking two items from their very first food menu – the Gigantic Smashburger and Baller Grilled Cheese. The Tattoo Bus will be here with custom Gigantic flash, so choose wisely. There will also be a Gigantic 10th Anniversary “photo booth” as well as a comedy showcase with Seth Allen.
