Sierra Nevada Brewing joins Drinkers for Ukraine with RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA

One of the largest craft breweries in the U.S. is joining the global Drinkers for Ukraine benefit relief effort linking the beer industry to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

Sierra Nevada Anti-Imperial IPA Drinkers for Ukraine

Chico, California-based Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has announced their entry into the program with RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA, a special release on-draft and in 16oz cans available for pre-order and shipping, and a pub-only food special inspired by a Ukrainian classic maize porridge dish Hutsul Banosh. Sierra Nevada has committed to donating 100% of the profits from both the beer and menu item to International Committee of the Red Cross humanitarian relief effort for Ukraine.

Sierra Nevada’s unique take on the solidarity brew is a West Coast style IPA named RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA that is 7% ABV and 45 IBU. The beer is currently available on draft in the brewery’s Taproom located in Chico, California and in the Torpedo Room in Berkeley, California, and it will debut in the Mills River, North Carolina Taproom on June 9.

Starting today, supportive drinkers in select states may pre-order the beer in 8-packs of 16-ounce cans. Visit https://sierranevada.com/beer/resist/ for more information and to place orders. Online orders of the beer will begin shipping mid-June through early July.

Sierra Nevada Drinkers for Ukraine Hutsul Banosh

In addition to the fundraising effort through sales of RESIST Anti-Imperial IPA, a Ukrainian-inspired menu item called Hutsul Banosh will be available in the brewery’s taprooms in Chico, California Taproom and Mills River, North Carolina, coinciding with the release of the beer in each location.

Sierra Nevada believes in brewers coming together for good and has experienced its impact first-hand from the 2018 “Resilience Project” which supported the brewery’s own Butte Country after the devastating Camp Fire wildfire.
