Meet the Class of 2022

This Thursday, June 23rd the New School presents our annual New Brewery & Cidery Showcase in Portland, OR at Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom and today we can reveal the final taplist from the best and brightest new Oregon brands of 2022.

19 beers and ciders will be on draft from 8 breweries and 1 cidery from open to close at Imperial with the official event running 4-9pm. ALL the breweries and cidery will be there IN-PERSON to meet-and-greet, give away prizes, sell schwag, talk about their liquids from 5-8pm. Perhaps best of all is that this event has no cover charge or tickets, it’s just walk-up and order a glass, taster, pint or Imperial Pint and enjoy it either indoors or on the extend street party setup off of SE Division that the bottle shop/taproom has setup.

For more information on who the breweries and cidery is, please read our primer story here.

Funky Fauna Artisan Ales

Arae - Wild Saison with Peach, Lemon & Raspberry Leaf - Fermented with our house wild yeast and conditioned on peaches, lemons and raspberry leafs sourced from Central Oregon Locavore farmers market. The raspberry leaf adds a cute little tannic note to the base with delicate whisps of fresh peach and lemon peel on the finish. Crispy, refreshing and wild with just a touch of acidity; just how we like em. 4.3% ABV, 31 IBU

Chelonia / Wild Gose with Apricot, Grapefruit & Red Sea Salt - We took a bit of inspiration from the traditional Leipzig Gose and brewed this beer with heaps of raw wheat from Mecca Grade and fermented it with our house wild yeast. We then refermented it on top of Apricot and Grapefruit zest with a final addition of Hawaiian Alaea Red Sea Salt just before packaging. Notes of ripe tropical fruit with slight acidity and just a tinge of saltiness on the finish. 4.3% ABV, 13 IBU
