Brouwer’s Cafe presents 21st annual HardLiver Barleywine Festival

The pacific northwest’s longest running barleywine festival returns to a post-COVID format as Seattle, Washington’s Brouwer’s Cafe presents the 21st annual Hardliver Fest this Frebruary 25th and 26th, 2023. Originally held at the Phinney Center in 2003, HardLiver was moved to Brouwer’s Café for their grand opening on St Paddy’s weekend in 2005.

Barleywines have a long life, even if the style isn’t as popular as it once was, it’s experiencing a mini resurgence now. Whether you’re a hardcore Hardliver attendee or you haven’t been in a decade; whether you’re a barleywine aficionado or just started your exploration of beer this is the event for you. No tickets are required, there is no required glassware or drink tickets and each beer is served in it’s own vessel in two different size options.

Brouwer’s promises 30+ barleywines on tap, from up and down the west coast. This is your opportunity to mix and match, taste and critique, and really wet your palette for what could easily become a barleywine obsession. Your liver has been warned! Let the training begin!
