Portland Trail Blazers team-up with Rogue Ales on Rip City IPA

The Portland Trail Blazers and Rogue Ales & Spirits (Rogue) have teamed up to create a co-branded beer for the 2024-25 season – the Rip City IPA. The new co-branded beer will be available at all Rogue pubs and Moda Center starting on October 16 as the Blazers take on Ratiopharm Ulm.

More from a press release:

“We are excited to unveil the Rip City IPA in partnership with Rogue as we tip off another exciting season of Trail Blazers basketball,” said Laura Flynn, Senior Vice President of Commercial Partnerships. “Our shared pride for Oregon and passion for creating spaces for community connection made this collaboration a natural fit as we toast to the next chapter of Rip City.”

“At Rogue, we’re proud to celebrate the spirit of Oregon, and our partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers represents the deep connection between our beer, the Blazers, and the people of this state”, said Steven Garrett, President of Rogue Ales & Spirits. “Rip City IPA isn’t just about great beer or basketball—it’s about uniting Oregonians through two things we’re truly passionate about. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this beer to Blazers fans across the region."

Rip City IPA is more than just a beer—it’s a tribute to Oregon’s deep-rooted love for beer and basketball, forged through a partnership between Rogue and the Portland Trail Blazers. This West Coast IPA delivers a refreshing, balanced experience with tropical and citrus hop aromas and a hint of pine. Crisp and clean, thanks to Rogue’s proprietary Pacman yeast, it embodies the game's energy and the Pacific Northwest's spirit. Rip City IPA is for Oregonians who take pride in their state and Oregon’s team.

During the 2024-25 season, Rip City IPA will be available at all Rogue pubs across Oregon, giving Blazers fans the perfect place to gather for every game—home or away. To sweeten the deal, Rogue will offer $1 off any pint of Rip City IPA at Rogue pubs during Trail Blazer games. For one away game this season, Rogue will be rallying Rip City and hosting a Trail Blazers watch party at the Rogue Eastside Pub and Rogue will also host two samplings in arena this season, more details will be announced at a later date. Fans can also bring their new favorite beverage home as the Rip City IPA will be available for purchase at Fred Meyer and other local stores.

A select list of media and fans will get their first taste of the beer at the Rose Quarter’s upcoming Taste of Moda food event previewing the latest food and drink in the arena ahead of the 2024-25 season.
