Helvetia Cider joins Block 15 Distribution

Helvetia Cider Company and Block 15 Distribution announce a new partnership to expand sales throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. The first Cider brand in Block 15’s portfolio, Helvetia will officially launch on December 30th and distribute ciders such as year-round Sun of a Peach and Blueberry.

Mark and Donna Grossen established Helvetia Cider Company with their son and Cidermaker, Jonathan. The cidery is located in Helvetia, a small unincorporated community in Washington County, just north of Hillsboro, Oregon. Its name, the Latin word for “Little Switzerland”, is inherited from the region settled by Swiss immigrants in the 19th century. The Grossen family also owns and operates a third-generation farm, where their great-grandfather first made hard cider in 1891. Helvetia launched in 2019 with their first release, Sun of a Peach, using fruit from their U-Pick peach farm.

Helvetia has focused on making ciders that reflect the flavors of Pacific Northwest orchards. Fine craftsmanship and age-old traditions combine to curate an extraordinary range of hard ciders. Son of a Peach and Blueberry ciders are available in 16-oz cans year-round and in small batches, like Mittenberger Heritage Dry Cider and Dark Cherry, in 750ml bottles. Both are also available in draught formats.

"We’re excited to announce that Helvetia Cider Company is joining the Block 15 Distribution team. Sharing our cider and connecting with our customers has been the best part of this experience, and this partnership will help us bring our cider to even more people,” said Owner Donna Grossen. “We’re excited to continue our journey through Block 15 and look forward to what’s next.”

Block 15 Distribution, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is dedicated to helping like-minded producers control how their beer reaches the market while providing the PNW with fresh products. Its supplier partners include renowned breweries such as Ferment Brewing, Wayfinder Beer, ColdFire Brewing, de Garde Brewing, and Block 15 Brewing in the Oregon and Southwest Washington territories.

"We’re incredibly excited to have Helvetia Cider Company in our book. We’ve been searching for a Cider company that would fit in well with our brands and match our company ethos, and we feel like we’ve found a great one! " said Ian Hutchings, Block 15’s Chief Operating Officer.
