Viking Beer Fest; Portland’s Medieval Nordic Renaissance Fair and Brewfest
Where can you drink 40+ craft beers and ciders next to a lifesize Viking warship and battle re-eneactors dressed up in full medieval Scandinavian garments? At the Viking Beer Fest at the Nordic Northwest campus in Portland on August 23rd and 24th.
This unique festival will take you back to the Viking age with a replica Viking ship, re-enactors and merchants who will immerse you in ancient Nordic customs and demonstrations. Witness the craftsmanship, artistry, and daily life of Viking society up close along with thrilling combat by trained warriors. Immerse yourself in frothy brews, Viking culture, and Nordic traditions for a truly unforgettable and unique experience at the third annual Viking Beer Fest on the Nordic Northwest Campus.
Exquisite custom ales have been concocted exclusively for the festival from some of your favorite local breweries! A few of our many brewers this year include: Ridgewalker Brewing, McMenamins, Integrity Brewing, Binary Brewing, Vertigo Brewing, Time Travelers Brewing, Hop Valley, Fortside Brewing, Victor 23 Brewing, Flyboy Brewing, and Stormbreaker Brewing. Savor the unique flavors and craftsmanship of these special brews, each one inspired by Viking traditions. Admission includes a souvenir glass and eight 4 ounce tastings from our kegs, plus two bonus tastings if you arrive via Uber, Lyft, or TriMet. Last pours will be 9:30 each day.
Dance, play, and rejoice like a true Viking with engaging music and activities throughout the festival. From traditional folk tunes to modern interpretations, our entertainment lineup will keep your feet moving.
To make your visit as convenient as possible, there are ample parking and shuttle options. In addition to nearby street parking and parking at the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, shuttles will run on Saturday from the DoubleTree on SW Locust St., across from the Washington Square Mall. Enjoy a stress-free journey to and from the festival, so you can focus on the fun.
Viking Beer Fest will be held on the Nordic Northwest Campus at 8800 SW Oleson Rd on August 23rd & 24th from 3 to 10 pm with a members-only hour from 2 to 3 pm.
