Newgrass Brews & Bluegrass Festival in Newberg, Oregon
Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery and Chehalem Cultural Center are excited to announce the return of the annual Newgrass Brews & Bluegrass Festival on March 13 & 14, 2026 at the Chehalem Cultural Center in the heart of downtown Newberg, Oregon. Festival passes are on sale now, with a special presale $99 pass available until November 21, 2025.
Featuring 12 national, regional, and local bands, Newgrass has expanded to a two-day celebration, pairing local and nationally rising artists with Willamette Valley hospitality, craft beer and wine, local food, and a community-forward atmosphere.
“Newgrass is our love letter to the modern bluegrass movement—and to Newberg. We’re bringing together blazing pickers, soulful songwriters, and the kind of warm, community hospitality the Willamette Valley is known for. Come for the music; stay for the sense of place.” -- Christian DeBenedetti, Newberg native and founder of Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery, who spearheaded the festival in 2025.
Taking place in and around the newly built 214-seat LaJoie Theatre and Grand Ballroom, the 2026 Festival is headlined by Shadowgrass (Galax, Virginia) and features celebrated ensembles including The Fretliners, Never Come Down, Two Runner, Magoo, Skillethead, Josh Cole Band, Corral Creek, Dadweed, Filthy Skillets, Mountaintop Sound, and Moon Mountain String Band.
In addition to experiencing these bands in an intimate setting, attendees will also have the opportunity to view or participate in open jam sessions, take instrumental and vocal workshops with the members of Never Come Down, explore the "Instrument Petting Zoo" with Moon Mountain String Band, and enjoy craft beer, wine, and cider tastings.
The family-friendly festival will also include a community pancake breakfast and a Kid Zone for ages 3-12.
“At last year's Newgrass Festival, we were thrilled to see the community come together for a weekend of incredible music, dancing, and celebration! This year, we're going bigger and better, expanding the event to span two-days. Our goal is for Newgrass to become an annual tradition that brings people to Newberg during the shoulder season and gives locals something fun to look forward to in March." – Sean Andries, Executive Direction of the Chehalem Cultural Center
