Loyal Legion beer hall presents Winter Saturdays at the Portland Airport (PDX)
Winter Saturdays at PDX continue with FREE family friendly activations and local partnerships.
Loyal Legion beer hall’s pre-security location inside the Portland International Airport (PDX) is in full swing with Winter Saturdays at PDX, a new seasonal program designed to transform the airport into a family-friendly weekend destination throughout the holiday season. Each Saturday through the end of December, travelers and locals alike can enjoy unique programming, interactive activities, and festive experiences, all taking place on the mezzanine level (Loyal Legion) all pre-TSA.
With a focus on creating an inclusive, community-driven atmosphere, Winter Saturdays have already featured a series of well-received events, including:
Free balloon art for kids
Miss Hannah’s Popcorn sampling
Craft stations and ornament decorating
Kids complimentary holiday cider from Stone Circle Cider
Hot cocoa bar with cocoa by Missionary Chocolate
Free Movie nights
Local artisan pop-ups inside Aurora Lounge
pFriemsgiving Tap Takeover with 40+ beers on draft
Saturday, December 6 – Flight School with Alaska Airlines (Begins at 12 PM) + Free Tillamook Cheese Tasting (Begins at 11 AM) Families are invited to meet a flight crew for a special “Flight School” experience. Kids can ask questions, explore what it’s like to work in aviation, and get an up-close look at tools, gear, and behind-the-scenes stories from real pilots and flight attendants. Also enjoy free Tillamook cheese tastings on the Mezzanine. Sample their Farmer’s Collection Sweet English Cheddar and Maker’s Collection 3-Year Aged Cheddar.
Saturday, December 13 – Free! OMSI at PDX (Begins at 12 PM)
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is bringing its interactive science programming to Loyal Legion. OMSI museum educators will showcase hands-on puzzles, brain teasers, and science challenges that mirror the experiences of the museum’s Turbine Hall. Kids can learn fun facts, engage their curiosity, and take part in activities designed to thrill youngsters and perplex adults — a true all-ages STEM experience.

Visitors can take advantage of the PDX 2-hour parking voucher when they spend $20 or more at participating pre-TSA shops or restaurants, valid daily through December 31.
Located on the mezzanine level pre-TSA, Loyal Legion PDX offers more than 40 Oregon beers on draft, craft cocktails, seasonal food offerings, and rotating family-friendly events as part of its commitment to making PDX a welcoming and community-focused space.
