Free Beer and Free Shuttle Service to Portland Breweries during Zwickelmania
What’s better than drinking free beer? How about drinking it straight off the tank as fresh as humanly possible. What’s even better then that? Getting shuttled around to up to 17 local craft breweries for FREE to do just that.
This Saturday, February 21st 2026 you can Hop on the FREE shuttle in Portland for Oregon’s state-wide brewery open house celebration Zwickelmania. This is Oregon Craft Beer Month’s premiere event, a brewery open house with brewery tours and FREE beer tasting directly from the zwickel, beer releases, tours, meet-the-brewer opportunities, educational talks, food and beer pairings, specials, NA beverages for designated drivers and more! More than 25 breweries are participating in Portland and more than 75 breweries across the entire state.
Zwickelmania® is organized by the Oregon Brewers Guild. Members breweries of the small brewer trade and advocacy group open their brewery doors, inviting the public to come sneak a peak behind the scenes to see and taste where the magic happens. A “zwickel” is the the valve or sample port mounted at the outside of a cask or tank. This valve allows the brewer to take samples for assessing the brew's progress during fermentation.
For the second year in a row 17 breweries on Portland’s Eastside have teamed-up to run their own shuttle service between Zwickelmania locations. Shuttles circle on two different routes arriving approximately every 30 minutes so you can hop on and hop off and get back to your starting point as they complete the full loop. Buses/Shuttles will run for an hour after official Zwickelmania tastings end so that people can still get back to their origin point from 11am to 5pm.

Airtag on each shuttle so that riders can check in on their arrival status and even text the driver.
Buses arriving at each location every 30 minutes
Busses will run 11-5 to give folks an hour after tours end to get back to wherever they are trying to go
Migration on Glisan will be the cross over point for both routes so that you could switch on or off or get back to homebase.
Zwicklemania has been the most successful Oregon Brewers Guild event at getting new and returning fans into breweries to both taste and learn about their operations.
However since COVID-19 it has been a more casual affair after going virtual in 2020. But for the second year breweries are teaming up as only they know how to keep the party going without having to worry about driving or public transportation.

Family-run Jewish brewpub Leikam Brewing will be spinning records with Tasha from Second Chance records, offering brewery tours, meet the brewer, and pouring Zwickel samples!
