Urban Family Brewing announces new Seattle waterfront location

Seattle, Washington’s Urban Family Brewing is expanding, opening a waterfront location next to Pier 55 and just 4 blocks from the new Reuben’s Brews location near Pike Place Market.

The Urban Family Waterfront will be a full service outlet with offerings far beyond the brewery’s current location in the Ballard neighborhood. In addition to Urban Family’s popular fruited beers and hazy IPAs, the waterfront will have craft cocktails, local wines, coffee and an in-house food menu. With 4,000 square feet of interior space and a 4,500 square foot patio, there will be plenty of space for you to eat, drink, hang with friends and soak up some waterfront views.

“Urban Family Waterfront will be a comfortable space to take in all this city has to offer. We want to be a hub for everyone: people visiting Seattle for the first time, locals who need a spot to hang out before and after a game, commuters waiting for their next bus or ferry, and everybody in between,” says Andy Gundel, owner of Urban Family Brewing.

“We have been searching for a new location in Seattle that best fits the evolution of our small brewery and it feels like we’ve finally found the spot,” says Andy. “We love everything about craft beer, and want to expand that enthusiasm to a whole new concept.”

Urban Family Waterfront is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026 at 1022 Alaskan Wy, Seattle, WA 98104
