Oregon City Brewing 12th Anniversary Party

Oregon City Brewing will commemorate its twelfth year of existence with a party featuring beer and merchandise specials and four bands on Saturday, October 24 at its original location on the edge of downtown Oregon City.

Due to construction work in the brewhouse, head brewer David Vohden was unable to brew a true anniversary beer for the occasion. He is, however, planning on tapping some fun cellared kegs, and there will be specials on other OCB beers and merchandise.

Four local bands are booked for the party, playing on the back patio under the permanent overhang, starting with Dogheart at 3:30 pm. Lucas Benoit goes on at 5 pm, followed by Suntex at 6:30 pm. The live music ends with Night Heron at 8 pm.

“We were born and raised in Oregon City and most of our family still lives there,” says Oregon City Brewing co-owner Bryce Morrow.

The last time there was a brewery in downtown Oregon City was 1895 by Henry Weinhard. Oregon City Brewing aims to do Henry proud by pioneering beer for the Pioneer City.

“Oscar Wilde once said that ‘experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.’ Twelve years in, we’ve certainly had our share of experience. But the real joy of this business has always been the people - the employees, customers, and community who’ve made it all worthwhile. Here’s a cheers to 12 years!” says Oregon City Brewing owner Bryce Morrow.

Oregon City Brewing started out of a garage, and transformed a derelict carpet store into a major community Hub.
