Von Ebert Brewing releases Two for Mischief Fresh Hop IPA

Von Ebert Brewing’s first fresh hop beer of the season is Two for Mischief Fresh Hop IPA. The award-winning Portland brewery has Two for Mischief on draft now at their NW Pearl District pub and it will debut at the NE Portland Glendoveer pub on Friday. Last years Oregon Beer Awards fresh hop gold medal winner FH Volatile Substance won’t be available until October. And Two for Mischief Fresh Hop IPA is one of the few fresh hop beers this year that will be draft-only.

To construct the beer, the Von Ebert Brewing team used the base recipe from its popular American IPA, One for Mayhem, and then hit it twice with fresh hops.

The base recipe’s hop bill included Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic. Then fresh Strata hops from Portland, Oregon-based Indie Hops were added on the hot side. That was followed by a touch of fresh Mosaic hops from Coleman Agriculture in Gervais, OR, in the serving tank.

Two for Mischief has notes of tropical fruit, pine, and berry, with an ABV of 7.5%.

“A huge shout out goes to Haley Nelson, Matt Zielinski, and the rest of the Coleman Agriculture team for battling through dangerous conditions to make sure we still received their amazing hops to make this happen,” said Eric Ebel, lead brewer, Von Ebert Brewing. “We’re extremely thankful for their efforts!”

Fresh Hop Two for Mischief is available now on draft at Von Ebert Pearl. It will debut at Von Ebert Glendoveer on Friday.
