Gigantic Brewing 2018 Release Calendar Includes Scrilla, End of Reason, and New Ginormous Imperial IPA

Portland, Oregon based Gigantic Brewing has announced its 2018 beer release calendar, including bottles of Ginormous Imperial IPA, Scrilla Hoppy Pale Ale, and End of Reason, a Belgian-style Quad. Also, all Gigantic bottles--including the year-round flagship IPA--will be transitioning to 16.9oz bottles by the second quarter of the year.

Scrilla

Hoppy Pale AleLay your dollar down on this refreshingly hoppy pale. Bask in the bright beautiful citrus from Citra, Crystal and Simcoe Hops.Tasting Notes: Huge fresh squeezed Citrus hop aroma and flavor. Light caramel malt flavors with a dry, refreshing finish.  History & Style: Scrilla is a new funkscrillabookiemonster of a beer, modeled after the original Pale Ales, but boosted to soaring new heights with citrusy hops and golden naked oats. Hopped for interplanetary aroma and flavor, leaving all the bitterness behind.Artist: Knowns as the "Art Philanthropist", Detroit born Overton Loyd, has toured throughout the U.S. and abroad with the renowned Funk?Rock band "George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic" designing multimedia stage shows, costumes, album covers, websites, and animated videos. The works are expressed in various styles including loose pen and ink drawings, cartoon illustrations and mixed media paintings.Malts: Northwest pale malt, golden naked oats. Hops: Crystal, Citra, Simcoe, Magnum. 5.5% Abv, 55 IBU's and a hazy gold color.

End of Reason

Belgian-style QuadAt the outer limits, you find tings that defy labels...what's in this bottle? A beer with no previous example. An expression of what our taste buds desire during the coldest months of the year. Rich caramel mallet flavors, depth and complexity derived from a Belgian yeast strain, all with a warming finish. Drink now, or age for years.Tasting notes: Complex malt flavors of toffee, ripe dark fruit, fig, dark chocolate, brown sugar and clove Belgian yeast spice. History & style We took inspiration from the Trappist brewers of Belgium and their Quadruple beers when crafting End of Reason. We wanted a beer that evoked the same caramel, toast and compelexity of those beers, with slightly less alcohol. We jokingly call it a petite Quad.Artist: Buzz Parker is an Arcata, California based artist who creates carved wood paintings of imaginary getaways and tree houses.
