St. Johns Ale Trail supports Craft Beer in North Portland

The St. Johns neighborhood of North Portland is becoming much beerier thanks to the upcoming expansion and 2nd location of Stormbreaker Brewing that adds to the lineup of Occidental Brewing, Royale Brewing's The Garrison Room and Hoplandia among others. The St Johns Ale Trail capitalizes on the area's growing beer scene by supporting the small businesses of the St. Johns and Chathedral Park neighborhoods by highlighting local beer bars and breweries.  created to support the craft beer community in the St Johns and Cathedral Park neighborhoods of North Portland, and to encourage tourism in this part of town. Started by a group of community members, this event is housed within the St Johns Center for Opportunity.  The St Johns Center for Opportunity helps spearhead the St. Johns Ale Trail project through people-centered economic development and community building. They envision a thriving, diverse, and just community where everyone has access to affordable housing, benefits from economic opportunity, and is civically engaged. St Johns Center for Opportunity engages in activities to support our mission and vision in four key areas:1) engaging in community building activities and promoting civic engagement and volunteerism;2) strengthening our local workforce by connecting residents (including youth) to local jobs and supporting them in their job seeking efforts;3) advocating for more affordable housing in the neighborhood; and4) connecting local businesses to resources and information.  The St. Johns Ale Trail features 10 locations in the community. Interested in participating? You can grab a FREE passport at any of the participating locations. You'll receive one stamp on your passport per location visited (with purchase of a beverage at that location).
