Cascade Brewing Switches to Smaller 500ml Bottles
More breweries are moving to a smaller format for premium bottles these days. The latest to do so is Portland's famed Cascade Brewing, which will switch to 500ml bottles from 750ml. The brewery’s bottle conditioning process will remain the same, and it will continue to utilize the cork and cage. Cascade Apricot 2017 will be the first bottle launched in the new size.More from a press release:"The decision to move to the 500ml bottles is consistent with the shift in the industry away from large format bottles,” explained Tim Larrance, Cascade VP of Sales and Marketing. Fans looking to purchase beers for their cellar are encouraged to do so while they can, because when the 750ml bottles are gone, they are gone forever.Cascade bottles will continue to feature distinct label styles for each of the three Cascade Brewing pricing tiers, with each label within the tier utilizing distinctive colors to clearly differentiate each beer.
