Everybody's Brewing Completes Relocation and Expansion

White Salmon, Washington's Everybody's Brewing has been a staple visit in the gorge for ten years and long ago was unofficially accepted as an honorary Oregon brewery though technically located across state lines adjacent to Hood River, Oregon. Everybody's Brewing recently completed a major expansion project that saw the entire operation move down a few doors to the corner of their block and open a new pub and major expansion of the brewery.Breaking ground last June, owners Christine and Doug Ellenberger saw an opportunity when Trellis Flower Shop and Candy's Spa moved from their building, allowing Everybody's Brewing to move into the larger space that allowed a major expansion of the brewery as well as the pub restaurant. It's the first real new construction project in White Salmon in years and allows the brewery to step into the forefront of Washington breweries. The recently reopened Everybody's Brewing brewpub has a similar layout to the original with the a careful choice by the Ellenberg's to retain the ambiance and vibe from before while updating the space with booths and a larger patio. It's a modern woody space with some great historical design touches from a vintage refrigerator straight from Doug Ellenberg's collection to a vintage wood hop rake from Loza Farms on display. The capacity has went from about 150 to 300 and the gorge and local tourists are more than happy to pack those seats. The staff seems most excited about the massive kitchen expansion. Ellenberger says the kitchen is slowly rolling out new menu items to this day, approximately one to two new items each week "This will hopefully insure that the food still comes out of the kitchen quickly with absolute consistency."Many are asking about the back deck patio which had a nice but slightly obscured view of the gorge. The new space has that too, with a small back patio currently open and a much larger beer garden deck in the works. "We just got our approval for the plans this morning.  We hope to begin construction on the deck in the next week," says Ellenberger, who plans to have the new patio open in time for their 10th Anniversary in early October, 2018.[gallery ids="29729,29738,29737,29733,29732,29741"]Everybody's Brewing is located on a hill with the pub on the 2nd level and level with the street while the lower level features the brewery and that's at level with another lower street. The new building, (just a few doors down to the corner) has a similar layout with a much bigger production space. Everybody's has doubled their brewhouse from 15 barrels to a new 30bbl Criveller brewhouse. They have also added two 90 barrel fermenters and one 90 barrel brite tank.[gallery columns="2" ids="29736,29740"]"This alone could increase production by 4000+ barrels a year" says Ellenberger, who reported they were making plus or minus 5,500 barrels a year for the past three years. "Our goal is to increase production at least 1500-3000 bbls each year for the next 2-4 years."With the increase in production and a new canning line, there will be even more Everybody's Brewing beer available in Oregon, Washington and Idaho -- including more one-off and seasonal releases. The expansion keeps Everybody's as a top destination for beer and food and views in the gorge alongside some of the best Oregon and Washington has to offer.
