Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom Sour Solstice & Masters of Lagers Events

One of our favorite beer bars and bottle shops (now with 2 locations) Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom in SE and N. Portland is hosting some great Portland Beer Week events, and raising funds for a great cause. In April 2018, Imperial Bottle Shop’s co-owner Shawn Stackpoole was diagnosed with undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. A major surgery to remove a tumor left her unable to use one of her legs. Subsequently, Imperial’s Portland Beer Week events will be raising funds to help her pay for her continual medical bills and lost wages. These are great events that you can enjoy both for fun and benefiting a great cause. These events include:

Masters of Lager (June 13, 3090 SE Division): try a blind tasting of 8 of the PNW’s best pilsners and vote on your favorite.

Sour Solstice (June 15-16, 3090 SE Division): 16 mouth-puckering sour beers n tap all weekend long.

Bonsai & Beer (June 15-16, 2006 NE Alberta): Check out some the Bonsai Society of Portland’s choicest trees while sipping on beers brewed with ingredients often used for bonsai.

Tions for Shawn (June 20, 3090 SE Division): Culmination, Coalition, and Migration Brewing Companies team up to help raise funds for Shawn. Special beers for the event include the release of Culmination Gummy Berry Juice Raspberry Table Farmhouse and Coalition RSO Hazy IPA with CBD and terpenes, and a special keg of Migration Cluster Drop saison aged in wine puncheons on Malbec grapes!
