One of Oregon's Best Events - Brews For New Avenues - is this Saturday
The world's largest rare beer charity auction (and brewfest) takes place this Saturday, August 10th, and general admission tickets are still available ($20) for Brews for New Avenues. The 8th annual charity event is your chance to obtain some rare, cellar worthy bottles and/or try a bunch of eclectic beers on draft for very affordable prices while benefiting a great cause - youth that are homeless or at risk of becoming so. Even if you don't want to drop big bucks on rare bottles, the draft selections are great and drink tickets are cheap, and the blind wall of bottles allows you to try your luck at a grab bag of cool beers for a very small amount. All that and entertainment too.
Brews for New Avenues showcases the social conscience of the beer community while featuring hundreds of rare beer auction packages, exclusive bottlings, and tastings from over 40 local, national, and international breweries. Better yet, all of the proceeds from this event benefit New Avenues for Youth's many programs and services for youth experiencing or at-risk of houselessness.
