Firestone Walker Introduces 3 New IPA's in “Crafted Thru Hops” Mixed Pack

Firestone Walker Brewing Company is releasing three new IPA hop showcases in their new Crafted Thru Hops mixed 12 packs in either 12oz cans or bottles of. One of the three is the latest iteration of Firestone's revolving IPA series Luponic Distortion and the others are named after popular newish hop varieties ie Motueka IPA and El Dorado IPA. The latter two beers are available only in this mixed pack, while Luponic Distortion can be purchased on draft or standalone cans or bottles.

El Dorado and Motueka are the latest releases developed in Firestone Walker’s Propagator pilot brewery in Venice, California, which specializes in R&D beers and limited local offerings. El Dorado (5.6% ABV) is a West Coast IPA with a next-generation hop variety from the Pacific Northwest that offers soft stone fruit flavors with notes of tropical melon and pear. Motueka (5.6% ABV) is a hazy IPA with a New Zealand-grown hop that delivers punchy flavors of tropical fruit, white grape and lemon zest. 

Luponic Distortion, the 15th release of the revolving series, features emerging hops from New Zealand, personally sourced by Brewmaster Matt Brynildson during the Southern Hemisphere hop harvest. This unique blend of hops offers explosive fruit flavors of kiwi, lychee and feijoa.

Both El Dorado and Motueka are exclusive offerings included in Firestone Walker’s new “Crafted Thru Hops” mixed packs. The 12x12-ounce can and bottle packs also feature Firestone Walker’s various single-hop IPAs including hazy IPA Mind Haze, West Coast IPA Union Jack, session IPA Easy Jack (available in the bottle pack only) and Luponic Distortion. 

• Mind Haze (6.2% ABV): This hazy IPA is juicy yet balanced and loaded with an imaginative array of tropical hop flavor
• Union Jack (7.0% ABV): This aggressively hopped West Coast IPA showcases stunning pineapple, citrus and piney aromas along with exceptional dry hop flavors of grapefruit and tangerine. This intense brew finds its balance in honey-like pale malt sweetness.
• Easy Jack (4.0%): This session IPA, available only in the bottle pack, is brewed and dry-hopped with a selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America, delivering massive hop aromas and a natural malt balance.
• Luponic Distortion (5.9%) From the mind of Brewmaster Matt Brynildson, this beer features an ever-evolving mix of experimental hops, designed to deliver new and innovative flavors with each new release.

Although New Zealand is a small growing region for hops relatively speaking, it has become an important one for craft IPA producers.” 

The “Crafted Thru Hops” mixed pack and the newest iteration of Luponic Distortion are now available in all Firestone Walker markets.
