Fremont Brewing Urban Beer Garden Reopens Today
Seattle, Washington's King County has got the go-ahead for a soft reopening under modified restrictions for dine-in service that allows bars and restaurants to seat people outdoors. Fremont Brewing is taking advantage of their popular Urban Beer Garden and reopening it starting June 6th at 2pm. Fremont Brewing is hosting parties of 5 or less people and has some additional guidelines, details below:
“We miss sharing a beer with friends, petting all the dogs, and basking in the Urban Beer Garden’s community vibe. We’ve been planning how to safely re-open ever since Governor Inslee announced Washington’s phased reopening,” notes Matt Lincecum, CEO of Fremont Brewing. “We made lots of physical changes to the Urban Beer Garden to ensure social distancing, such as installing booths that can fit up to 5 people, converting the bathrooms to be 100% touch-free, along with buying a ton of hand sanitizer and face masks. We’re moving to hosted seating where our host will greet the party and show them to a table. Every party is limited to 5 people or less. Instead of reservations, just show up and put your name on the list and we’ll text you when a table is ready. We are fortunate to have so much outdoor space and we’ve arranged it to minimize contact with guests from different parties and will have a host to seat everyone. Our Urban Beer Garden team has done a great job adapting to the COVID challenges, keeping everything super sanitary and clean, and they will continue to be creative in adapting along each phase of re-opening.”

50% occupancy and outdoor seating only – King County is currently in a modified Phase 1 which allows for 50% occupancy and outdoor seating only. We appreciate your patience as we make the most of our plentiful outdoor space while maintaining at least 6 feet between parties.
Cleaning and Physical Upgrades – We upgraded our Urban Beer Garden to ensure safety and health; including converting the bathrooms to be 100% touch-free, making payment systems touch-free, moving seating to ensure 6 feet between parties and adding a third bar to minimize lines while ordering beers. Sanitation is a huge priority for us and we’ve taken that up several notches, with frequent cleaning of often touched surfaces in all areas.
Indoor seating and traffic flow - We removed the main communal tables at each bar to give more room for social distancing in the bar and restroom lines (don’t worry, when this is over, the tables will be back!) and we’ve installed booths that can accommodate parties of 5 people or less.
Staff Health – This has been our top priority ever since the COIVD-19 outbreak and we’ve ensured that our already generous sick-time policy is flexible enough to allow any staff member with any health concerns to take paid time off. Every Urban Beer Garden staff member checks their temperature upon arriving at work and have become professional hand washers and mask wearers. We’re healthy and plan to stay that way.
Beer to Go - We will keep our current beer-to-go program, allowing people to order for pick-up at FremontBeerToGo.com.
Kids & Pets - Kids and pets are welcome as always at the Urban Beer Garden, with kids counting towards the limit of 5 or less people in a party.
