Oregon Brewers Guild presents Drink Beer, Be Kind Virtual Beerfest

Virtual events and online streaming appear to be the new norm. The Oregon Brewers Guild is presenting their second virtual festival, the Drink Beer, Be Kind Virtual Beerfest on Saturday, June 27th. This event will include chats with brewers far and wide, live music performances, comedy and axe-throwing.

More from a press release:

Out-of-state guests include Vinnie Cilurzo from Russian River Brewing (Calif.), John Mallett from Bell's Brewery (Michigan), Will Kemper of Chuckanut Brewery (Washington), and Ashleigh Carter and Bill Eye from Bierstadt Lagerhaus (Denver).

The Guild is selling a limited-edition shirt, and raffling off chances for beer fans to put their dog's photo on Heater Allen’s 2020 Sandy Paws holiday beer label (distribution in OR, CA, and WA). This is an annual tradition at Heater Allen, and the Guild is delighted to be the recipient of this year's raffle.

Tickets to the fest are just $5, and all proceeds from the fest, shirt sales and raffle tickets help the nonprofit guild to promote, protect and advocate for independent breweries in Oregon.

"Beer fans and brewers sent a clear message after our May virtual fest: 'Do it again,'" said OBG Co-Executive Director Tony Roberts. "This event can't replace the outdoor festivals we're missing this year, but we can still connect, have a great time, and even learn a thing or two."

The festival begins at 1 pm. The Guild is finalizing the schedule, but current highlights include:
