The world's largest rare beer auction goes online for their 9th annual virtual event this Saturday, August 1st. The Portland, OR based New Avenues for Youth non-profit has built international recognition for channeling beer nerdom into the cause of assisting at risk and homeless youth.

Previous years have seen Brews for New Avenues raise funds in the six figures through both in-person and virtual rare beer auctions centered around a festival-style gala event in Portland. Though 2020 is different for everyone, New Avenues will channel their experience hosting international travelers and beers into a fully virtual event from 1:30-2:15pm this Saturday.

Bottle sales from our Cuvée de l’Espérance collaboration with Cantillon raised over $100,000.

With COVID, political and economic crisis, and rates of homelessness on the rise, especially for our most marginalized populations from communities of color and LGBTQIA communities, we must have the resources to ensure services remain intact. Brews for New Avenues has been an essential part of meeting this need. “ Sean Suib, Executive Director

Last year’s in person events engaged hundreds of beer lovers, provided unique opportunities to showcase craft brewers from around the world, and raised a record-breaking $260,000+ for our programs and services for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.
