Bent Shovel Brewing 5th Anniversary Party
Celebrating 5 years in business, Bent Shovel Brewing will be holding a socially distanced anniversary party this Saturday, August 22nd at their Estacada, Oregon beer garden.
Bent Shovel moved the taproom from outside their brewery in rural Oregon City to a temporary beer garden outside the Viewpoint Lounge in Estacada last year. That open air garden among the trees has become one of the best places around for socially distant craft beers in the time of COVID-19. And now Bent Shovel Brewing has secured an ongoing lease on the beer garden for year-round outdoor imbibing.
"We are looking forward to a great, yet more metered and very socially distanced anniversary party this year. We've got a couple great beers planned to release for this year's celebration," says Bent Shovel owner/brewmaster Rick Strauss.
The 5th anniversary party will feature the return of Agent BARIS, a 2020 vintage of Bent Shovel's barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout, and a new anniversary Double IPA. Kico's Barbecue will be running the grills and smoker all-day with their Santa Maria style oak pit BBQ plates.
Bent Shovel is still based in Oregon City and has continually expanded their operations and brews a wide swath of styles from their 10bbl brewhouse. They now can their beers in 4-packs and self-distribute throughout Oregon and plan to continue to do so.
Bent Shovel Beer Garden is open weekends only, Friday - Sunday from 12-8pm at 20189 S Springwater Rd.. Just look for the big red building and street sign for the Viewpoint Lounge off the side of the road, turn into the large parking lot and move toward the smell of smoked barbecue and beers.
