Crux kicks off 2021 with new 16oz can lineup and Bushy Park IPA rotator
Bend, Oregon’s Crux Fermentation Project is introducing their first new beer of 2021 called Bushy Park IPA and a new regular lineup of year-round beers in 16oz cans. Shakeside Stout, Battlestar IPA, and The Velvet Underpants Hazy IPA, were all vetted as limited releases in the past, but now join the regularly available beers in the larger format.
Bushy Park IPA
The first new beer of 2021 from Crux’s rotator series features two of their favorite Australian hop varieties. This West Coast style IPA was well received at the tasting room already and is now being distributed in 12oz cans.
Sip on the history of Australian hops in Bushy Park IPA featuring Vic Secret & Galaxy hops sourced from Tasmania’s Bushy Park Estates, the birthplace of Australian hops. They’ve been harvesting hops here for over 150 years, and we’d like to think you can taste the tradition in this modern IPA packed with distinctive flavors of passion fruit, pineapple, and a pinch of pine. 6.7% ABV. Bushy Park is available January-April and then will be followed up by the return of Lawn Party hoppy golden ale in May.
16oz Year-Round Line-Up
January 2021 marks the first time that Crux has a full line-up of year-round beers in 16oz format. Shakeside Stout was released last fall and both Battlestar IPA and The Velvet Underpants Hazy IPA were sprinkled in small release drops last year, but now all three are around for good.
Battlestar IPA
Dry-hopped with Galaxy and Mosaic hops, this galactic india pale ale delivers intense tropical and citrusy flavors suitable for faster-than-light travel, casual projection, or just kicking back with friends here on Earth. 7.8% ABV
Shakeside Stout
This sessionable stout with lactose sugar and malted rye is blended to achieve both sweet and dry stoutly traditions. Rumbling with chocolatey undertones and subtle hints of spice, this is a smooth and creamy ale of seismic juxtapositions. 5.0% ABV
The Velvet Underpants Hazy IPA
Prepare to rock out to tropical notes of mango, pine, and stone fruit balanced by a soft and fluffy mouthfeel. Loaded exclusively with Mosaic hops, this is a Hazy IPA you’ll want to put on repeat. 6.0% ABV
